DRACULA TRAILS TRIP

OVERVIEW:
On the Dracula Trails Trip, we start our first day of riding from our base and head towards Dracula's Citadel in Sighisoara, where we spend the night.

Sighisoara Citadel is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved medieval citadels in Europe. It is also closely connected to the story of Vlad the Impaler and the legend of Dracula.

We ride mixed terrain through forests and hills, passing through old villages and remote countryside while exploring the real Transylvania and discovering the places and stories behind the Dracula legend.

DURATION:
• 3 nights / 2 days riding — ONE overnight away from the base, riding different trails each day
• 4 nights / 3 days riding — ONE overnight away from the base, riding different trails each day

RIDING SEASON:
From April to November.

ACCOMMODATION:
Traditional retreats, guest houses, hotels, mountain cabins, etc.

DIFFICULTY:
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced.

TERRAIN:
100–150 km a day, 95% off-road.

Daily mileage is subject to group ability, progress and weather conditions.

SCHEDULE AND ITINERARY:
Generic format, subject to change depending on flight timetables, weather conditions, riding ability, etc.

• [3 Nights Trip] — ONE overnight outside the base

Day 1 — Airport pick-up and guided tour of Sibiu. Lunch or dinner in the city centre and transfer to the base.

Day 2 — Ride to Dracula's Citadel in Sighisoara and overnight stay. Guided tour of the citadel followed by dinner in a traditional Romanian restaurant.

Day 3 — Ride back to the base on a different route. BBQ in the garden and beer time.

Day 4 — End of trip. Transfer to the airport.

• [4 Nights Trip] — ONE overnight outside the base

Day 1 — Airport pick-up and guided tour of Sibiu. Lunch or dinner in the city centre and transfer to the base.

Day 2 — Ride to Dracula's Citadel in Sighisoara and overnight stay. Guided tour of the citadel followed by dinner in a traditional Romanian restaurant.

Day 3 — Ride back to the base on a different route. BBQ in the garden and beer time.

Day 4 — Last day of riding. Hot tub and dinner at our friend's rural retreat.

Day 5 — End of trip. Transfer to the airport.
