Rob Bate ( UK ) WOW !! 7 of us returned today from what can only be described as a simply amazing trip. Without doubt the best riding I’ve ever done personally , with variations constantly of terrain and scenery. As mentioned in other reviews the host , Gabriel , is a genuinely lovely person who gives his full commitment to every single member of the group , catering for all your needs. The accommodation is top notch and as for the food …..excellent !!!! Every single meal was delicious and I can’t remember any sitting that we managed to finish it all. Gabriel is continuously giving you information about the places you visit and also regular updates regarding the history of both Transylvania and Romania, this just made the trip that much more special to me because it wasn’t just about riding and sleeping! Our group has already selected the dates for our next trip with Gabriel as we feel this is a holiday we will be doing again and again and again !The only disappointing thing to mention is that I only have the option to rate this 5 stars when it honestly deserves a 10 ! This is a must do trip for any off road enthusiasts reading this. Thank you Transylvania Trails and I’m already counting down the 4.5 months till our return.
Brian Cannon ( Ireland ) Everyone who rides a bike should get themselves out to Transylvania and do a few days on the trails. Once in a lifetime experience but you’ll want to go back a second time like me. Bikes, scenery, trails, culture, food, schnapps and host are all fantastic. thanks again Gabriel.
Terry Bonner ( UK ) Best riding I’ve ever experienced, you won’t be disappointed – I’ve been home 2 days and already booked my trip for next year!. Gabi is a great guide who tailors the adventure to the ability of the group. His knowledge of the area and teaching you about the history of the region is amazing, the areas we were taken are untouched and provide an authentic feel (be sure to high-5 the kids as they come running out to see you throughout the villages)The terrain is very mixed and suitable for everyone, from charging across fields to blasting through forests. The accommodation, hospitality and food are all top standard and spot on. I cant fault Transylvania Trails in any way and loved every minute of it! Stop thinking about it, get it booked – it’ll be the best thing on 2 wheels you’ve done!
Eugene Brannigan ( Ireland ) This is a must trip for anyone who enjoys bikes. the trails and scenery are brilliant Gabriel is an absolute gentleman and brilliant host we were well fed and covered a serious amount of miles on our trip. looking forward to the return trip
Martin Carr ( UK ) Absolutely.Fantastic.Experience!. Myself and 7 others have just returned back to the UK after riding with Transylvania Trails. We where so impressed with everything! From the initial enquiry through Facebook way back in December to shaking hands goodbye on our last day. Gabriel has devised what can only be described as the perfect motorcycle tour company. The detail and thought that has gone into making each and every tour is outstanding. The trails are endless, the scenery breathtaking and Gabriel’s guidance and tuition puts you at ease and inevitably fills you with confidence. Throughout the tour, whilst in Gabriel’s presence you can sense the passion this man has for enduro motorcycling. Gabriel is a genuine good guy. The bikes are like brand new as is all the kit. The accommodation is top notch and the food is fantastic in extremely generous proportions. Anyone thinking of booking a tour- DO IT!! You will not be disappointed.I’m planning my next trip……..
David Ostler ( UK ) I loved Romania! Great riding, beautiful scenery. Gabriel was a great guide and a wonderful host. The tour is a stress free easy format. Once we arrived at the airport Gabriel picked us up and took care of everything until we were dropped off at the end of our Holiday. We were taken to some great local places to eat, which also enabled us to become more immersed in the Transylvanian culture. Gabriel has a positive community ethos and is passionate about supporting the local community through his own endeavours. The Sherco was awesome, if you haven’t ridden one you need to try. I am used to riding big capacity KTM’s and Japanese bikes and the Sherco had plenty enough power for me (I find 250’s lacking) and was very nimble through the forest Terrain. In short, in the words of the Terminator, “I’ll be back!” WARNING: treat Romanian schnapps with respect !
